Make your teen girl's bedroom a cozy and comfortable sanctuary. 
 
Teen girls will usually want to decorate by covering the walls with what's important to them. Posters, personal mementos, photos of family and friends, and animal themes are popular decorating accessories for teens. How their room feels to them is more important than what it looks like.  They don't care that it is not neat and everything in its place, they just want it cozy and welcoming to them.  After all, most of their teenage life is spent there.

Above all, they want a décor that is cheerful and comforting. Its the place teenagers go after a bad day at school.  It is their retreat.  Their place to hid.  And it's great if they have a comfy chair to throw themselves in.

Most teen girls love to have color in their bedroom.  Let them express themselves with paint.  It's pretty cheap and they will change their minds at least once a year as to what color they want it.  If your teenager's choice is a high-energy color such as purple, spread out the impact by using a lighter accent shade as a balance. Natural light, white woodwork, and a clean contemporary look also offset the strong hue. And most teen girls love modern contemporary looks.
